Matthew’s wife, Lisa, is having an affair with Adrian, a British director.  Or perhaps the affair is part of a play being rehearsed.  Or perhaps Matthew has imagined it all.  But a mysterious woman who seems to shadow the others brings the story to its surprising conclusion…or does she?  The audience plays the role of detective in this hilarious, multi-layered comedy of suspicion about love, lust, and the power of deception in which nothing is ever quite what it seems.

Performed at Piven Theatre Workshop, in the Noyes Cultural Arts Center, 927 Noyes St, Evanston, IL

Bamburgh, UK 1996. A comic and touching account of three sisters on the occasion of their mother’s death, each haunted by their own demons, drifting around their own islands of memory....with weed and whisky.  The irreverent and witty dialogue among the sisters gives way, finally, to the deeper bond they share and old rivalries surface with anguish and amusement.  Ms. Stephenson’s play enjoyed an extended run at London’s Hampstead Theatre in 1996, winner of the Laurence Olivier Award for Best New Comedy in 2000.

Performed at Piven Theatre Workshop, in the Noyes Cultural Arts Center, 927 Noyes St, Evanston, IL
