Denita Linnertz graduated from Valparaiso University with a BA in music and theatre. Since moving to Chicago, a great bulk of her time has been spent with her fellow crazy Piccolinis. She has played the leading boy, Jack, for four years in Piccolo Theatre's seasonal pantomimes, Mr. Punch or Jack and the Blasé Bride, Jack and the Beanstalk or Harlequin Hatched, and Jack and the Wild Goose Chase, Pedrolino in The Artful Widow (did you catch her brilliant intermission act?), and Mary/Ensemble in Mistero Buffo. Credits outside of Piccolo include the Georgia Shakespeare Festival, American Folklore Theatre, Wagon Wheel Theatre, Theo Ubique, Circle Theatre, and The Theatre Building Chicago, where she regularly helps workshop new musicals. She has also worked with and directed for young actors' Shakespeare camps at both Valparaiso University and Georgia Shakespeare Festival. Any lasting fame she blames wholly on her brief but stunning performances on the History Channel's Conspiracy Theories series.
