Glenn Proud is a company member and was last seen on the Piccolo stage as Jack’s Mother in last years panto Jack and the Wild Goose Chase. Other Piccolo Theatre shows include; The Artful Widow, Mr. Punch and the Blase Bride, and The Real Inspector Hound. Glenn is also the Artistic Director of LiveWire Chicago Theatre, where he has had the great opportunity to perform in No One Ever Dies in Montanta, Macbeth, Hedda Gabler, Uncle Vanya, Much Ado About Nothing, Life is a Dream, Three Sisters, & Night of Innocent Games.
This Spring he’ll be directing The Love of the Nightingale, by Timberlake Wertenbaker. Glenn has worked with Borealis Theatre, Corn Productions, and the Illinois Shakespeare Festival. He is a recognized Actor/Combatant by the Society of American Fight Director, and has staged violence for Overflow Theater Ensemble’s production of Jellybelly, LiveWire’s Life is a Dream, Ground Up Theatres Midsummer Nights Dream, and Slaughter City. Glenn would like to dedicate his performance to Deborah, his amazing and very patient wife, who allowed him to rehearse during the final month leading to their wedding, thank you for letting me go out to play.
